The brief

  • ■Lamar Jackson (thumb) and Tyler Huntley (toe) are both out
  • ■Jacksonville is a 10-point road favorite — a huge number for a Thursday game
  • ■The Brissett trade is expected to be completed over the weekend

Why it matters

A playoff-caliber team's season now hinges on a rookie nobody drafted — the kind of underdog story NFL fans live for.

Fagnano, also playing through an ankle issue, threw just 21 passes in relief last week.

Jacksonville enters 5-2 with Trevor Lawrence leading an offense that has scored 40-plus in consecutive games.

Baltimore signed Kedon Slovis this week as emergency depth.
