Terms of Use

Last updated November 5, 2026

These terms apply to your use of brieflytold.today and any related newsletter or app (together, “BrieflyTold”). By using BrieflyTold you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What BrieflyTold is

BrieflyTold publishes short summaries of news reported by other outlets, with a note on why each story matters and links to the original reporting. Briefs are produced with the help of automated and AI tools and are meant as a quick overview, not a replacement for full reporting.

2. Accuracy and no professional advice

We work to keep briefs accurate and to link our sources, but news changes quickly and summaries can contain errors or omissions. Content is provided for general information only and is not financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice. Always check the original source before relying on any information.

If you spot an error, tell us at legal@brieflytold.today and we will review and correct it.

3. Ownership and permitted use

The BrieflyTold name, logo, design, original text, and illustrations are owned by BrieflyTold or its licensors. You may read, share links to, and quote short excerpts from our briefs with attribution and a link back.

You may not copy, republish, sell, or systematically scrape our content, or use it to train AI models, without written permission. Trademarks and reporting of third-party outlets belong to their owners.

4. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site; no automated bulk sign-ups; and no use that breaks the law or the rights of others.

5. Newsletter

If you subscribe, you agree to receive our emails. You can unsubscribe at any time. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your email address.

6. Third-party links

BrieflyTold links to other websites, including the original news sources. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe material on BrieflyTold infringes your copyright, send a notice to legal@brieflytold.today identifying the work, the material on our site, your contact details, and a statement that you are the owner or authorized to act. We respond to valid notices under the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

BrieflyTold is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrieflyTold is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your reliance on our content.

9. Changes and termination

We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service, and may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms. The date at the top shows the latest version.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which BrieflyTold operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
